Self-assessment

Self- assessment

This is the first time students carry out a self assessment. It will take place every time the students work in group in this project. This way, they will get to filling in this simple worksheet as the final task of the lesson.
As this might be the first time they complete an evaluation like this one, I strongly recommend filling it in with the children, even if their language level is high enough to understand the questions.

The pupils now know how to create and conduct a survey. With the survey, the pupils will know the needs of their audience.

Objective of the lesson: To create your own survey

SESSION 4

Writing their own questions can be quite challenging, for children, especially if they need to do so in a language which is not their mother tongue. It is important that the teacher gives the children enough support to do so, which can range from a glossary or a set of questions of example, to a fill-in-the-gaps activity.
In addition, as the pupils will have to ask these questions to their parents, who might not know the L2, sharing the meaning of the questions in group could come in handy.
